Im from the metro Detroit/down river area and I was wondering if anyone from around here knows of any good antique shops/flea markets to find some vintage razors, brushes, etc. there's a flea market in Lincoln park I'm going to check out this weekend and I've been to Taylor town trade center a few times on weekdays but most of the vendors are only there on weekends. I'll probably stop in there this weekend too.

Also has anyone found anything good at Taylor town trade center?

I was thinking about Gibraltar Trade Center, but wasn't sure if I'd be wasting my time... Haven't been to the Taylor Center.

I've been wondering the same thing...I'm going to start checking out places around me (Oakland Co.) and see what's out there. There's a place in Berkley that I want to check out specifically, Oddfellow Antiques as it's a fairly large antiques mall. I plan on going this weekend.

Not in SE Michigan here; actually SW Michigan, but just wanted to tell you to be persistent, there's stuff out there to be had. I've been up and down the Lake Michigan lakeshore and hit up a bunch of antique shops and flea markets and found a lot of stuff over the last couple of years. My best find - actually my wife's - was a really nice vintage Gillette Sheraton for all of $2. I've seen lots of razors, brushes, colognes and aftershaves. Still hoping to find some vintage shave soaps, ala Hoosier Trooper, but haven't hit that score yet. Good luck!

I can't make any recommendations as all of my attempts have been relatively unsuccessful.

Well I stopped in to the flea market I was talking about. It's at Howard and Southfield road in Lincoln park. It's called weekend pickers. Found an os mug that I passed on but didn't see any other traditional shaving supplies. But I was there at 9am on a Friday when they just opened and not all the vendors were there yet. I had just gotten off a 12 hour night shift and didn't feel like sticking around. I'll take the "be persistent" advice and maybe check it out next weekend but later in the day.

Stopped in to taylor town trade center on Sunday and found a fat handle tech in an aristocrat case. I saw a gem se and a rolls razor too but decided to pass.
