May 15th Golden Arches Shave Day

May 15th, 1940 The first McDonald's restaurant opens in San Bernardino, California.

The first McDonald's restaurant, originally called "McDonald's Bar-B-Q," was opened by brothers Maurice ("Mac") and Richard McDonald on May 15, 1940, in San Bernardino, California.

It was a drive-in restaurant with carhop service and a menu that featured barbequed meats. However, in 1948, the brothers realized that most of their profits came from hamburgers. They closed the restaurant for several months to revamp it into a self-service, streamlined operation focused on hamburgers, cheeseburgers, french fries, milkshakes, and soft drinks.

This new model, with its emphasis on speed, efficiency, and affordability, revolutionized the fast-food industry and laid the groundwork for the global McDonald's empire that we know today.

While the original McDonald's building still stands, it's now a museum dedicated to the history of the restaurant and the fast-food industry. The oldest operating McDonald's is located in Downey, California, and opened in 1953.

This was the absolute best shave of my last 6 shaves, there was and is a reason I had narrowed my razors down to one, for me it is the best razor made. It is nice to have variety sometimes, but when I come back to my Wolfman I am home.

For the next couple of shaves I am going to use the same soap with my other razors.


People were saying that Wolfman‘s are so expensive in US dollars my complete razor currently costs
