Didn't nick or cut myself, but a pretty poor shave. The contortions required with a str8 are going to take lots of practice. Still, I did it!
Ron, talk about a flash from the past, I remember wearing Pierre Cardin in high school. Good choice!

L'Occitane CADE shaving soap

This was a test of two products, the L'Occitane soap and the Gillette long-handle razor. I know Richard (Conche_) uses this razor and really enjoys it so I thought I'd give it a try (You must be secure in your manhood to shave with a baby-blue razor with purdy little stars on the handle). I picked up a nice looking specimen an antique shop yesterday for $6.00. Still in the box with a package of blades. Two thumbs up for both. I normally try to only introduce one item at a time but couldn't resist this morning. There will now be two long-handles in the stable, Gillette and Merkur.
I also included a picture of my new Truefitt & Hill M3 razor that saw a little use this morning on the neck area. Since I can't carry my double edges on my overnights because I don't typically don't check luggage, this will be my travel razor. It's a very elegant razor in my opion and if I was an M3 lover, it would be my go to razor.
The L'Occitane soap was a joy to use also. Very nice lather and a very close shave.

Exfoliated with Smartshave pad (daily ritual often forgotten with these posts)
Hydrolast "Da Cube" mixed with
Trumper's Rose
SMF Brush (still lovin' it)

Pacific Shave Oil for 2nd and 3rd passes
QED DaVinci water
Hydrolast Peppermint A/S balm

Smooth, happy face
Finished up with the LAST OF MY B&B Cologne!!
