Wellington | Heinrich L. Thäter Chubby | Spanish Fig & Nutmeg | Alt-Innsbruck

Pre-Shave: Hot shower
Brush: 22mm Vulfix Super Badger
Razor: 7/8" Solingen Stainless, 1/4 Hollow, Round Point
Strop: 60/75 (Neil Miller linen/Premium IV leather)
Überlather: Al Raz Custom "Cloves/Lavender/Black Pepper" Shave Creme
Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose Petal, no alcohol)
Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Moisturizer
After Shave Balm: Truefitt & Hill Trafalgar
Cologne: Truefitt & Hill Spanish Leather
Results: Another fabulous shave this AM...This time with the Solingen Stainless. Rogue whiskers stood no chance with this blade. It had been awhile since I had used Al's wonderful creme. This creme is soooooo über-good, that it needs no help from any soap or glycerin. Excellent cushion and glide. This shave was SMOOOOOOOTH as butter

Ikea Bowl
Semogue 2010 LE
Merkur 34G with Merkur Super

Sir Irisch Moos Stick
Floid Suave Aftershave

Today's shave was even better than yesterdays.
I loaded the brush on the stick and then bowl lathered and had better control - definitely not a bad soap.
Discussing with myself if I should press it into a bowl?

Have a nice day, Gentlemen :001_smile

Feather blade
Merkur Progress long set on 2
Bath House Spanish Fig & Nutmeg shave soap
alum block
4711 Echk Kolnische Wasser aftershave
Dolce & Gabbana The One for Men EdC

Liking that 4711, but it feels like it leaves me a little dry. Maybe I'll keep it for summer.

The Italian Job (Almost)

Cast of Characters
Pre-Shave: Hot shower
Brush: 23mm Shavemac Silvertip Badger
Razor: 6/8" Maestro Livi (New Grind), Hollow, Round Point
Strop: 55/65 (Torolf linen/Premium IV leather)
Superlather: Acqua Di Parma "Colonia" Shave Creme + Glycerin
Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose Petal, no alcohol)
Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Moisturizer
After Shave Splash: Floïd Italian Blue
Cologne: Acqua Di Parma Colonia EdC

Synopsis:
Today was an all Italian (well almost) affair. I recently got myself a AdP Colonia EdC, and decided to bring the AdP out of the fridge (had not used it in a long time...typical downfall of having too many soap/creme choices) and reunite the family for an Italian shave. The Shavemac does not fit the bill, but hey, I didn't want to spend $340+ for an AdP brush (they are beautifully designed though)...We can't have it all, right
proxy.php
? Anyhoo, back to the shave. A pea sized amount of the AdP creme provided for a nice, thick and moist lather that smelled wonderful. The Livi was an absolute joy to use...sharp and smooth as the first day I bought her. I bet it'll be some time before this baby gets introduced to any of my stones. Super clean shave
proxy.php
. The Floid AS and the AdP Colonia EdC were a great finish for this (almost) all Italian affair.

Robert, what a great shave! I haven't used the AdP SC in over two years now, but it was my first when I started wet shaving back in 2004! Great stuff!
