No pic, but I'll try later at some point...

In over 2 years, I think this is my best shave ever. The combination of this mild razor with the Perma-Sharp and Mike's Natural along with a shower beforehand and pre-shave oil to soften the whiskers is a winner.

- Stirling pre-shave oil unscented
- Mike's Natural Barbershop soap
- Edward Jagger Super Badger brush
- Edward Jagger DE89LBL razor
- Perma-Sharp Super DE blade (fresh)
- Stirling Executive Man aftershave

Amazing!

Ha, the razor was described thus "
[FONT=&amp]can't see any hone wear looks to me like someone tried to shave with the factory edge and put it away and stored it badly." Well if they shaved some super hard turnips with the factory edge for a few months maybe . . . dullest razor ever, wouldn't cut anything. So first-time setting a bevel from scratch. Found an old "India oil stone" - one of the only things have from my grandfather who never met . . . and thanks to good razor steel and India stone mostly (then some Jnat's for finishing) actually put a shaving edge on the thing.

I only have the Smolder pre-shave oil. Unlike the soap I think the fragrance of the oil is very prominent. I'm a little hard pressed to describe its fragrance other than it's a tobacco-y vanilla. It is one of my favorite aromas -- much more fragrant than any of my other pre-shaves oils. I don't know why I haven't picked up the aftershave. I need to rectify that very soon.

Checking in a little late tonight. I've been away from my computer most of the day.

The standards of SOTD have been easily met today with really great photos and posts. I can't let them go unacknowledged so I'll be posting my comments tomorrow.

I hope everyone has a pleasant rest of their evening.
