FRIDAY, 15 May 2020

Pre: Elegance Plus "Jupiter" gel
Lather: Stirling Lime*
Brush: Stirling Kong
Razor: Feather AS/D2
Blade: Astra green (7)
Post: GBS alum block
Balm: CeraVe
Frag: Club de Nuit Intense

*Still more citrus goodness, though I prefer Lime Coconut.
No matter, any lime pairs well with the minty "Jupiter" gel.
Next, I'll probably dose my lather with some PAA Chell menthol analog.
Should provide quite a zing as the weather warms.

Stay healthy, everyone!

Razor - Timeless SS 0.95 open comb
Blade - Gillette Platinum
Brush - Grizzly Bay "Heavy Metals" 26mm tuxedo
Soap - Mike's Natural Coconut
A/S - Brickell unscented balm

It just doesn't get better than a good shave. I've grown to love this brush. The knot is this little ball of firm badger, but the tips are super soft, perfect scrub, splays when you need it, paints wonderfully, and the handle is ergonomic and really sure in hand. It whipped up a lovely shiny creamy lather from the soap, like applying a thick coconut cream on your face, just irresistible. The razor cruised along, and I'm so enjoying focusing on technique and letting this razor do the work. It's such a pleasurable tool. The shave was again very close, and my complexion has no redness. My face hasn't looked this good in weeks, it's like the razor cures you of inflammation. So good.

That brush looks like it's a wood handle.

Classic shave today. I think GFT Limes has made it's way into the permanent rotation. I love it so. Light stubble always finds me reaching for the Tech. So smooth and mild I can just fly with it. No irritation. DFS gents.

Nice razor sir. I'm still searching for one of those out in the wild.

Monday - Gillette SC New / Vintage Wilkie / Dr. John's Classic barbershop / WCS Synthetic
Wednesday - Gillette Fatboy G1 / Vintage Wilkie / Dr. John's Classic barbershop / AoS Badger
Friday - Gillette Knack 1974 / Generic BX DE blade (likely a repackaged Israeli Personna / Dr. John's Classic barbershop / VDH Boar brush -- the boar brush produced the quicker lather, but the synthetic did better for providing 3 passes -- slick enough soap, but lather was on the thinner side

Must be the filter I put on it. It's a Grizzly resin, copper/gold and a metallic black that swirl into clear with gold flakes. His pours are crazy.

Edit: oh wait, haha! I thought you'd quoted a post I made earlier in the week when I'd used the GB. Whoops! No, I have to give this brush a proper ID: it's an Elite Razor cocobolo handle with a 26mm Manchurian white I got from a gentleman on BST.
