Testing new soaps (3/8) — New week, new blade, new soap, new lathering technique

Prep: Shower
Soap: The Goodfellas' Smile - Candy Cotton — Limited edition
Blade: Astra SP
Razor: Mühle R89
Brush: RazoRock 400 Plissoft
After shave: Nivea Men - Protect & Care moisturizing balm
Fragrance: Jo Malonne - Willow & Amber

Soap verdict: a nice sweet smell, not too sweet though, perfect for a cold rainy or snowy day, easy lather, dense lather, very nice smell that lasts in the lather but not really on your skin, so the smell is very enjoyable while you shave but will not interfere with your fragrance. Would recommend.

I don't know if it's the new blade, new soap, the fact that I haven't shaved yesterday, but I really enjoyed the shave this morning and my face is really slick, it was definitively a 10/10 shave!

I like that label on that soap. How does it smell?

Easy way to describe it: it smells like a sweet candy. But old school candy, like big lollipops, marshmallows, cotton candy.
My wife describes it as "cake, but more sugary".
Well, hard to describe precisely. If you don't like candy smells it's not for you though.

It kinda reminds me the smell that you have in an old-school candy shop, or the candy shop that is located on Main Street in Disneyland.

Nice lather with nice scent. Nice soft brush with backbone too. A pleasure to use. Shave with razor and blade was both mild and safe. 3 multiple passes without trying to chase BBS. No irritations nor weepers. DFS to CCF results.
Ice water rinse feels great followed by Thayers & MacaRoot.
