A Star is Born!

Before this shave I knew about vintage “Star” SE razors, but absolutely nothing about “Star” DE razors. I acquired it as the oddball extra in an eBay “three fer” package.
I have only one thing to say! “WOW”!
This may have been the smoothest shave of my life. I’m sure the soap and blade all had a part in the equation but what a shave. I’m talking BBS+ if there is such a thing. I cannot comment on the blade because I never felt it on my skin the whole time.
The shave with this “Star” makes my face friendly “Tech’s” seem like they were from the “Inquisition”. I think that even people with sensitive skin could load a Feather into this razor and shave without mishap or irritation.
This shave took me completely by surprise.

Two-passes + neck touch-ups for a DFS with very minimal alum feedback. In spite of that, I did end up with some redness on my neck and I'm not sure why.

1st use of a Zingari Man soap, albeit a sample. The initial impression was a very beautiful scent...hmmm...unsure what but just beautiful and relaxing. The lather was very creamy...really wow!!
Shave with razor paired with the blade was super smooth and comfortable for 3passes with 1 tiny creeper. Mostly bbs to dfs.

I'm starting to really appreciate the wonders of the humble shave stick. The Lea shave stick that i have infrequently added to my soap rotation i intend to use it more regularly after the slick protective lather it created in my shave today, leaving a wonderful post shave feel.

Another enjoyable 3 pass + pick ups close comfortable shave with no errors to report...Finishing the shave off with a small dollop of The Real Shaving Co. ~ PSSB.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.
