I swear I looked before starting a new thread but I didn't see much in the way of answering this question but how do people feel about using shaving soap as just a straight up face soap? I feel like using your brush on your whole face for your last pass is a nice exfoliator or something. I never really thought of it until I was teaching one of my residents to wet-shave with a puck of williams and a VDH brush and he just lathered up his whole face. At first I just laughed but he made a good point: Its soap so why not.
Might also be another way to use up some lather when you're done shaving instead of just washing it down the sink.
