What's new

Joined B&B 15 Years Ago Today

I just noticed that I joined B&B 15 years ago today. It's hard to believe that many years have passed since I joined.

It's even harder to believe that I first started shaving with a safety razor in 1979. Great memories of dad teaching me to shave, and I still have his Gillette Fatboy. I also have my grandfather's razor and brush he used every day when I was growing up.

Through the years I have received countless tips and insight into all things shaving here.

When I first joined several members sent me products to try when I had questions since I had only used Williams & Colgate shaving soap at that point. They helped make a daily chore into an enjoyable process that I look forward to.

This is a wonderful forum with amazing people who care for others, many who they will never meet.

I can't thank the moderators and members enough for the enjoyment B&B has provided me.

This is the best of the shaving forums .
To those who joined so many years ago, what changes have they seen in the posts about soap and hardware?
Hi Roy,

For me the posts regarding soap and hardware have been especially helpful. Especially when you consider how many new products have been introduced into the market.

Posts about soaps outline the skin benefits, scent quality, and specifics on how to best use them. These posts help me to choose what I think I will enjoy and work for me.

From a hardware perspective, posts provide an amazing amount of information to consider when choosing a new razor, blades, brushes, and accessories. The amount of detail regarding razor blades for example is incredible. The same can be said for razors.

I would be remiss if I didn't mention the posts related to technique. These posts have assisted me into understanding my facial hair growth direction and different approaches to get a great shave.
