Shaving related magazines/books

Bored tonight so was going through the "Post Your Shave Dens" sticky. I noticed that in one picture, there was a copy of "Leisure Guys Guide to Gourmet Shaving". Is this still available? Are there any other magazines/books out there on Wet Shaving? Hey, this could start a whole new AD..
Wonder if anyone in this forum has thought about writing articles for any of the Gentlelmens magazines.

"Leisure Guy's Guide to Gourmet Shaving" got me interested in DE shaving. I think it's still available on Amazon, that's where I bought my copy. I don't know of any other publications on wet shaving. If you find any, let me know. After the book I found B&B. As they say, the rest is history.

There are also some interesting books on the history of barbering out there. I also recently purchased a book about the old Burma Shave signs.

From the amount of members on here I'm almost curious why no one tried a shaving magazine! By now everything is online but an online one would be interesting, you should start it!

I'll have to check out Amazon and see whats available. I'm sure there are enough talented people on this forum to be able to submit an article to GQ or one of the other mens magazines. Could start a whole new group of younger people getting away from that 3-day stubble look and into clean shaving. Even if they till use thier Mach3's but wet shave it would be a start and an improvement. I was watching a show where this guy was on promoting his new movie and he had that 3-day stubble look. I guess they think it looks sexy but I think it just looks lazy and dirty.

Michael Ham's book, "Leisure Guys Guide to Gourmet Shaving" si the classic/traditional shaving Bible. I bouaght a copy 3 months into my journey. I read it straight through and still use it as a reference. It can be had for $12.99 at Amazon:

Leisure Guy's book is now available in a newly updated 6th edition on Amazon, hard copy or electronic.

Yes, Amzimbo is correct the newly updated 6th edition has been available since about mid-August. If you contact him I'm sure he would be thrilled to autograph a copy for any and all interested. Mr. Ham is a very approachable guy.
