Sharing Straight Shaving

This morning I treated my dad and brother to a full treatment, Thanksgiving straight shave. This was sort of reckless as I have had only three straight shaves under my belt before laying the blade to their throats, but I love em enough to kill em...

Anyways, between the hot towel, sweet smelling goos, and a VERY close shave, they really loved it. Now they are both into the idea of straights and are going to sign up here at B&B. This is a good thing.
Remember guys, the more people that are into this, the more producers and stores are going to produce those lovely products we love. So do a bit of recruiting and shave someone. It seems to work.

Ive shaved a few years with a straight and still wouldnt touch anyone else with one, congrats on the success. As far as conversions go, it really is a mindset that not many people have so unless they are insistent about harassing me for info, I dont try and convert anyone. Thats just me though.

Well I dont think that the shaving someone else really helped me with my shaves, but it sure was a TON easier than cutting my own whiskers. I only gave my brother one small nick, and my dad nothing but smooth. And it was interesting dealing with my dad's skin because his skin is very inelastic with many wrinkles. But having family into this stuff is going to make for really neat Chrismass shopping. I already bought my dad a scuttle for X-mass. I see the point about it taking a specific mindset though. My friend asked me a couple questions about it and I kind of discouraged him. He is too much of a trend follower to keep at it for more than a week. But family is a pretty safe bet.

Another point to highlight about sharing this hobby of ours is the upcoming holiday. Merry Chrismass everyone. Which means you can get things you really want for close friends and family. Then when they dont want it, VIOLA! Its resides safely in YOUR shave den. I got my brother a tub of TOBS today and he may or may not actually like it. I can smell it now... But really, I am getting both my father and brother wet shaving products as they have both expressed interest.
