IMHO the $30 aluninum Hawk is one of the best bargains in the shaving world. It outshaves many of my stainless DEs costing more than five times as much. I also have two stainless steel Hawks, standard and OC. And yes, they are slightly more efficient than the aluminum version, at more than twice the price.

Soap Stone Cottage - Musk
Brush Yaqi 24mm Silvertip
Razor Yaqi AC Aluminum
Blade Feather ProGuard 11th use
Post & Aftershaves Ice Water + Stirling Witchhazel MitA + Hyaluronic + Axe Signature Denim
Nice enough lather from the soap. Mid strength & pleasant. Easy to create a creamily slick lather...
Shave with razor paired with the well-used blade is still smooth and comfortable for 3passes without any issues resulting in a bbs to dfs finish. Nice cooling aftershaves on this oven-hot day.

1st shave with a vintage razor
Razor: GEM Micromatic Bullet Tip
Blade: GEM PTFE (3)
Brush: Paladin El Dorado
Soap: Martin de Candre Rose
Post: Thayers WH Aloe
Aftershave: Mennen Skin Bracer

The Shave: Reduced variables by using FAVS for brush/soap/aftershave. 2 WTG and ATG on face, 2 WTGon neck. Smooth, DFS+. Taking my time getting to know my new razor. Easy to achieve the angle by placing Guiding eye flat on face and listening to the feedback.
Early Verdict: Bullet Tip is a keeper!
