I prefer the Schick adjustable band razors to the Gillette Techmatic. Most knock band razors, but they have never tried them. They are actually great shavers. The band cartridge can hold hair/shave cream, so I rinse it frequently and have no problems. The band cart snaps in and out of the handle easily so this is not a big deal to me. After a shave I give it a rinse and leave it to dry out. Unfortunately replacement carts are not longer being made. However, they show up on Ebay from time to time. You should not pay more than a few bucks for these. One other thing, the band blade is made out of stainless steel, so the NOS ones you find hold up really well.
