Rolls Razor

Wonder if anyone remembers the Rolls Razor. It came in a case with stone on one side and strop on other. The design allowed you to pull blade back and forth to sharpen. It was and marriage of straight razor with safety bar design.
my brother had one when in the Navy. Probably bought at PX.

Ive got one in my collection, not a bad razor but I don't use it much. It makes a very nice travel item and looks great but it kind of bulky. I see them at antique shops often.

I have a couple in my collection. I've shaved with it a couple of times -- I suspect a good professional honing would help, but the shave has been difficult. I'm told you have to approach using a technique more similar to shaving with a straight.

It's what my grandfather used back in the 1930s. My mom remembers it so clearly that the experts here were able to identify it when I posted her description.

Don't use them though, they are nice to look at Quite heavy hehe!
