VERY nice, liking it a lot so far. I stupidly tried it immediately on setting 3 using a Feather and my neck did not really care for that, but barring that lesson learned, it still provided a very good shave 
Great razor and a true blade tamer...my daily driver these days.

Hi all, I own an ambassador. I really want a konsul to finish the set. But the finish on the examples that the Australian retailer has are finished really rough. Is this normal? I'll put photos up for reference. There's sand papper marks on the side of the bottom plate and burrs. Can anyone send photos of theirs

Defintely not normal. I have the Ambassador and the Konsul and apart from the milling marks on the underside of the top cap (which is to be expected on a milled razor) the finish on my two is fine.

No, that needs a good buffing. Not hard to do, just tedious. I've done a better job on lawn mower blades! Sad.

Agreed these photos look like mine. There should be no burrs and you should not have to deal with it esp for That kind of money.

Most expensive razor I ever bought myself. Glad I did! I'm a compulsive fiddler with the adjustments, but I've got a "program" that works for me. After all, why have an adjustable if you ain't gonna adjust it?

Does anybody know what the range of blade gaps and blade exposures are on the Konsul?
Looking at photo I am disappointed something that cost what it did, is got so many tool mark. This down't yell QUALITY to me. This Razor was pricy, and imho should have better finish. JMHO
Personally I don't mind the tool marks, in fact I like to see them on a milled razor, as it tells me/reminds me it's been made on a milling machine, razor than cast (if that makes sense) and also its just the characteristics of the looks of a milled razor in my opinion. Milling marks are pretty subjective and not everyone likes to see them I suppose.
