Rescaled my shavette....

Ok, no laughing at the back!

I did this because my Sanguine shavette came with very ugly yellow plastic scales, and because I wanted some practice before attempting to rescale any of my proper straights.

I used some white plastic I had knocking around for the scales, and the earth conductor from some thick copper cable for the rivets. I used the original wedge, and I didn't taper it because it wouldn't have closed properly due to the thick 'blade' of the Sanguine.

Lol! Not quite up to the standard of the custom stuff you see on here, but it works ok.
I'm not very happy with the rivets, but practice makes perfect I guess...

For some reason on the photos, the wedge looks like it's not blended in with the contours of the scales, but he join is practically seamless in real life. Must be a trick of the light or something.

For my next project I'm going to try casting scales in resin by making molds from some original scales.
I like the idea of having several razors all with different blade types, but in matching scales like a seven day set.
