Puma Rescale Questions

Lots of videos out there. I learned a lot from these:

…take a look at razors with bone scales, they are usually elegant and trim. Not usually thick and clunky.
Forgot I have this one that I think is bone or ivory. Probably bone. And yes the scales are rather thin. Has a metal wedge. It’s very simple in shape.

So I tried out peening a brass pin for the first time. Actually pretty easy and I think it came out fairly well. It was the part I was most concerned with. Just waiting for the washers and scales.

So I noticed that the 1/16” pin stock is too big for the pivot hole on another razor I plan to rescale. Would you redrill the pivot?

Anything I should know about doing that?

If you are talking about the hole in the tang...that's unusual.
If you bought scales that are predrilled but the pivot holes are undersizes, chase the pivot holes in scales with a 1/16" bit in a pin vise. Easier to not mess up when motors aren't involved.
