Replating needed, who to go to?

Hey fellas,
I have a vintage Merkur Slant with case that is pitting pretty heavily. It's underneath the head, on the guards, and a couple of other places. I'd like to keep the razor going as it shave very well, but I think the only way to prevent the pitting is to have it replated. (in case I'm wrong, please tell me! I'd love to have another option)

Can you all recommend some place that will do a good job at a reasonable price?

Many thanks!

Everyone's going to suggest PMing ontoman.

I eventually want to send my SEs over to him.

Most large communities have plating shops.
Look in your local phone book, then go there in person do not call and bring some razors with you.
Your best chance is to get them interested in your project.
If you can have the object ready to be replated as best you can.

You cant just plate over the pit's,they have to be sanded out.If they are difficult to reach with tools it will be expensive because of the time involved.I'm one of the vendors here that does re-plating.

What is an "average" cost for replating?
I know it would be best to see, but there is no real bad areas, mostly, just plating worn and brass showing.

Also, what is meant by "having them ready"?
What does that consist of? How do you get them ready?

Thanks!
