RE: The BubblesTGB Arko PIF

So I got my Arko shave stick a few days ago and today I unwrapped it cut it up and pressed it into my EJ soap bowl. The smell is a bit like Ivory soap and its much softer than I thought it would be. I lathered up using my Simpson Special in best and went straight to my face with it to finish the lather. It made a very slick thick lather that although a bit pungent smelled great. I used my new 1959 Gillette Fatboy to shave and enjoyed it very much. Next time I may try to bowl lather with it. I figure the Arko purists would want to string me up for putting it in a bowl so I decided to at least face lather with it on my first go. Its the only tallow based soap I have ever used and really liked it. Thanks again BubblesTGB for the great PIF!

I have a stick of arko that is waiting for me to try out. Might have press it into an old spice mug and try it out tomorrow.

All the soaps I have used thus far have been glycerin based, the tallow feels almost "meatier" if I had to put a word to it. I am also wanting to try MWF with its lanolin ingredient but not sure if its comparably to Arko in any way. The Arko has gotten me interested in tallow soaps for sure but don't know what to try next.

I use 3 soaps---Arko stick,MWF,MDC---Out of all the soaps I've tried,they are the best. Mikes isn't bad either but I prefer the 1st 3

And in this corner wearing the same old work pants I always see him in, it's Jacob the Twiggy Alien Man...

Seriously though, nice PIF. Arko, used by twiggy, translucent aliens everywhere.

Went crusin on WCS and caved in and got some MWF on the way. Couldn't justify the ceramic dish so I got a screw top aluminum container for it instead.
