E&S Rasage Shave Soap experience?

I recently purchased 2 sets of shave soap with matching aftershave from the E&S Rasage brand through Jonathan at Stonefield Shaving Company (Stone Field Shaving Company - https://stonefieldshave.com/) based out of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. First off, I will say Jonathan's customer service is fantastic, answering a few questions I had and getting my order out promptly, and very well packaged to boot. I have no affiliation with the company, I simply have the opinion good service should be recognized. The E&S soaps and matching aftershave I received were the Exotiki and Shaman. Exotiki is a wonderful tropical scent or coconut, tropical fruits, pineapple, coconut milk, musk, vanilla, green and solar (copied from E&S). The Shaman is a mix of bergamot, spice, incense, fruity, floral, rose, white flowers, iris, hay, cedar, vanilla, musk, wood, amber, and lastly patchouli (again copied from E&S). All that means to me is it smells like spice, florals and the faintest hint of tobacco.

My question is this, does anyone else have any of the E&S soaps? How do they lather for you? I have several from various other makers, such as Stirling, Chiseled Face, Albufera, BBS Shave Soap, MacDuff's, RazoRock and Noble Otter to name a few. The E&S is simply not working for me when it comes to making a lather. First shave on the 17th, I used my typical amount of soap and water, attempting to work up a storm with a face lather. In the end, it was very thin to say the least. The brush I used has a 26mm V21 Fanchurian knot and is a lather monster with any of the previously mentioned soaps. Today (the 19th), I thought I would go with more soap than usual, beating it up with a 26mm G5C. Again, the lather simply would not 'grow' to anything substantial for me. Both times the soap was slick, providing nice glide, but there was absolutely ZERO cushion and the lather was a measly paper thin coating on my face. Is this a thirsty soap, do I need more water than the others, or is it s less thirty soap?

Thoughts? Advice? Again, I have none of these issues with my other soaps.

Have you tried asking this question to the soap manufacturer and seller?

I've purchased some samples and a normal tub of soap.
Shaved once by loading straight from the puck. I got an OK lather. I remember that it did not provide as much cushion as other soaps, but it was good. Not paper thin.

My tip: load heavy, shaking out the water from the brush before. Load for a good 30-40 seconds.

Very nice pictures BTW!

I have several E&S soaps and they are very good performers. The lather is thick, creamy and slick, not thin at all. That said, I do not face lather nor do I load from the puck. I cut out a good amount of soap and smear it in the bottom of my copper Captain's Choice lathering bowl. I am not all conservative with the amount (I have more than enough soap so why scrimp). I work a few drops of water into the soap then float the bowl with the soap in a sink of warm water while I shower and while my badger brush soaks separately.

After showering, I squeeze excess water from the brush, remove the bowl from the sink and start lathering, adding water slowly. I take my time adding a few drops of water every so often until the lather is perfect. It works each and every time for all soaps including Stirling, MacDuffs and Noble Otter as well as E&S. IMHO, E&S is an excellent all-around shaving soap.
