Question about slim adjustable hinges.

Is it common for some slim adjustables (the ones with the crimped on door hinges) to work a bit loose and rock back and forth? I don't have any problems with the earlier version of the slim (the ones with the soldered on end caps). The later models with the crimped hinges, rock a bit and have a bit of play in them.

Are you talking about when the doors are open? or closed?

I have a slim with the crimped hinges and there is no play anywhere.
Also no problem here with it .

As long as the assembly is tight and doesn't rattle when the blade is loaded you are OK. With the doors open and not under tension, the natural range of tolerances in the assembly could produce a noticeable rattle.
