Proraso Red - Sandalwood and Shea Butter

Used this for the first time today and received an excellent shave, although the Gillette 7OC Yellow (in Progress set at 2.5) was a bit rough. The lather was slick and thick and formed quite easily. I have not been a Proraso fan, but I think this will be a keeper. I know some sandalwood aficionados have been turned off to its scent, but I thought it was strong and clean and I liked it.

and also used a progress, very nice stuff very slick, smell will grow on me.

It still seemed to cool my face, has it still got menth in it?

I absolutely love it, though I too have become more of a soap fiend than cream as of late.

I don't detect any menthol in it - but I also have the Green lol

I think that's the real Sandalwood Oil.

Oo! oo! I got mine a few days ago too. I really like it! It is much more thirsty than proraso green IMO. The shave was slick but not as cushion-y as I had expected, but it's probably just because I couldn't get the water-cream ratio down. But I really like the smell.

I like both the green and the red Proraso, but have a slight preference for that sandalwood scent!!

It was one of my first purchases as a noob, so I don't have too much to compare, but I am enjoying the shaves I get with this and I do like the scent a lot! No irritation here with the right blade...
