Just a small largemouth again. Was using the ultra-light and had to be careful with him a bit so as not to break the line as he ran into some weeds by the bank and got the line tangled up in them. Once I worked him out he then ran under a piece of timber right next to the bank. Finally got him out.

Was using a crappie jig again...they seem to like those and plastic worms.

20 Pound Atlantic Salmon caught on a dry on the Grand Cascapedia, GaspeView attachment 916817

Wow. That's one heck of a fish.

Tonight I only got another little bass...about a couple of pounds I'm guessing. First cast I hooked one and played it for a bit, then it spit out the hook. Second cast I got this one I and had to play it for awhile. After that I was done...skeeters are out fierce this time of the evening.

Used one of my ultra-lights again...need some new line.

Haven't used a topwater lure in a loooong time so SWMBO picked up some poppers today. It took about four casts before they got interested, and I had to cast over a drop-off and reel in over that where they wait in ambush, but I hooked one. They are starting to bite good but I'm not staying out when the skeeters get blood thirsty.

It's just about three pounds or so I guess. I don't have a clue where my fish weighing scales are. Used Dad's old Mitchel 300 reel from the late '40s that I put on an Ugly Stick rod.

Now I understand the "ghosts" that can come up when using a UV filter on the camera...one is on the hickory tree. But it's Halloween season.

Somebody else caught a bass today on a little Zebco 202. $10 for the rod and reel both a couple of years ago.

Went out to see if a spinner that the skirt had melted off of in a tackle box that was in a hot storage area worked. Got a baby bass on the first cast. I guess the spinner is okay even without a plastic worm on the hook. Those small ones need to be pulled out of there. Saw a feral hog also. Too far away to cast to.
