Parker semi slant - issue?

Greetings B&B, not posted for a long time. I purchased a Parker semi slant last week, and received it on Monday (3/8/2020). I opened it yesterday and found a small blemish on the thread. I contacted the seller who stated they couldn’t see it being an issue, but could return for a refund. There’s no stiffness to thread, or doesn’t feel like cross threaded.

Just thought I’d seek some advice on what you guys think?

Pictures of the threads are out of focus so cannot tell. Looks like one of the threads are out of alignment and not chromed in that area which may cause premature wear. I would send it back.

If you are not happy with it then I would send it back. Better to be safe than sorry.

Thank you for your help. I couldn’t seem to get an in focus shot. My Muhle (approx 6-8 years old) recently became a thread issue, as in it wouldn’t tighten up. So I think I’ll send it back.

The thread is ok, dark spot is burnt plating. This could be caused by several reasons, most common being a not properly cleaned surface.

Mine has a similar spot, I didn't noticed it when it arrived so I thought it happened after it arrived, in other words, that it was my fault somehow.
I have another curious question, does the overhang of the blade stick out more from one side than the other? (I tried to take a photo but couldn't get it right)
