One of my fave creams, C. O. Bigelow, is on sale again!

For all you bargain-conscious wet shavers with SCAD, Bath & Body Works is again having a "Buy 2 get 1 Free" sale on C. O. Bigelow shave cream in the green tube. As you know, this is rebranded Proraso menthol/eucalyptus cream which is one of my favorite creams. It's very inexpensive on sale like this. This is a very rich, thick, slick latherer that really loves lots of water and has a nice smell. My SWMBO enjoys the scent.

My youngest daughter, ever the bargain hunter, brought this to my attention again. She also produced an online coupon for $10 off a $30 purchase. We went to B&BW this afternoon and got 3 x 5.2 oz. (147g) and 3 x 1.7 oz. (48g) tubes for a grand total of $20 plus tax ($21.40 in Philly 'burbs). Almost 21 oz. for $21. I have to say, that's a good deal.


Here's how the deal worked: the buy 2 get 1 on the big tubes gets you 3 for $20, buy 2 get 1 of the small $5 tubes gets you 3 for $10 for a total of $30 and the coupon brings the total back down to $20. Sweet, especially for a shaver like myself who enjoys the Proraso menthol/eucalyptus.

EDIT: Also I'm tempted with this..mainly because I was going to order Proraso on my last WCS order but they were out of stock.

Though I don't think I want 3 tubes of the stuff considering I already got like 5 tubs of soap and creams.

That depends on your store's current stock. Look at the ingredients. If there aren't any parabens, it's the new formula.

What's the shelf life for them? I'm just starting out and haven't tried a cream yet, so I'm not certain how fast they are used up, but I'm sure I'd get well over a year's worth out of the three of them. And thanks for the heads up!

I finally used up a tube after at least 2 years, with no problems in the product. It could go longer, but I wouldn't hazard a guess as to how long.

Correct. I was trying a lot of different products during that time and only used the Bigelow once in a while.
