Omega hi brush is synthetic. I don't read a lot of comments here and don't have one myself. But others do speak well in other forums.
If you enjoy massaging your face with a wire brush, and splattering lather all over the bathroom (do keep the door shut!), the Omega Hi-Brush is the one for you!Have spied a new omega 0146751 layered wood handle Hi brush for my max bid of £10 or should I go with a yaqi brush for £12?

A LITTLE BACKGROUND:
I'm one of those naturally "tidy" people. I can spend the whole day decorating without getting a spot of paint on my skin or clothes (I am always somewhat bemused by the large majority of "decorators" whose overalls, and usually their skin too, are just about completely covered with paint).
I'd never splattered lather anywhere (except on the parts of my face that I wanted to shave) till I got a Hi-Brush. I currently have too many brushes of all sorts.
Out of your two choices I'd certainly go for the Yaqi. (I also have Yaqi synthetics.) My all time favorite synthetic brush is the humble Omega S-Brush, the red S10065 in particular.
That's just my tuppenceworth (and opinion) you understand.
But JL, I love the S-Brush. It's the Hi-Brush I dislike intensely.I've tried them both. The S-brush is for masochists. The Yaqi is great.
