What's new

Old Spice Lime cooked up in the lab.

I was at Whole Foods today and I found a bottle of Lime EO on sale. I figured that I could put that to good use in the den. When I got home, I dug out a bottle of P&G Old Spice Cologne that had been consigned to its resting place under the sink. With the help of my trusty tiny metal funnel, I hit it with a few drops of the lime EO, shook it for a while, and tried it out. Successful limification! Can't wait to test it out.

Very nice. I thought about doing the same thing with the Sandalwood EO but it smells like Cedar to me.

Where did you get a funnel that small?

I've been thinking about doing the same thing with some of the Ivory Club. About how many drops of Lime EO do you think it will take to "get it right" to approximate the OS Lime?

Let us know how yours turns out.

How's that Indian Old Spice Lime working for you? Any comments would be appreciated!!

I gave the Aura Cacia Sandalwood EO a sniff and it was nice--but very expensive.

I bought my wife an atomizer at the Body Shop. It came with a cool little funnel. Big mouth but very small tube.

I did 20 drops in a 4.25 bottle. Probably too much, but anything worth doing is worth overdoing!

The Indian Old Spice aftershave is working great. It has a bit of a bitter fragrance, like lime zest. At the same time, it's very Old Spicey. I like it a lot. Later this week I think I'll post a review. In the meantime, if you're thinking about ordering some, go ahead and pull the trigger on it. You won't regret it.

Thanks Nid.

I use the lid off of one of these

Thanks Phil, I just happen to have some of those in my kitchen.
