What's new

Not sure what I have found

I have been trying to get my Aunt to clean the spare bedroom at her house out for several years. I know she has dreaded it but I finally convinced her it was necessary. The room was packed full of boxes on top of boxes of who knew what. As I was opening a small box inside of another box in a corner this is what I found:

The razor in the 1st and 3rd picture says Burma Shave on it not sure what kink of blade it would take?

Believe it or not I would bet money (if I were a betting man) that the Burma Shave razor took a Gillette Sensor blade or the equivilent.

Do I win?

That is a bet you would surely win. That handle clearly takes a Sensor cartridge.

Which means it looks quite a bit older than it actually is: the Sensor debuted in 1990.

I wouldn't expect to see clones until a couple of years after that; not sure if using the same attachment mechanism would have been a patent violation. If yes, then such a clone couldn't be legally produced until the patent had expired.

The Burma Shave razor was actually in a different box across the room. Not sure where it came from. Started cleaning things up this morning, the Burma seems pretty heavy, but I have never seen one anywhere. It leads me to believe it is relatively recent.
