Gave my newly acquired FaTip Picolo it's first serious tryout this morning. It is certainly less aggressive than my R41... On the Muhle I find that the angle held is critical. If I deviate from that I can suffer. On the FaTip there is a little more forgiveness and play in the angle it rakes the face. My only issue with it now is finding the right blade. The Astra SP blade that has worked for me flawlessly with every other razor didn't seem to be giving me as smooth a shave as I expected. There is no rush on this so I'll try Wilkinson Sword or Feather the next time I pick up this Italian Open Comb. If it works out, perhaps some day I will pick out a Joris to enjoy, but that is getting way ahead of myself.
