next soap?

Hello all,

I need some advice about what soap to buy next. I currently use tabac and love it. The warm smell, the soft feeling on my skin, is wonderful. I bought a tube of E&J cream, and it feels to... chilly. I definitely don't like menthol or any "cool" smells of sensations. I want to be warming up next to a fire on Christmas when I shave every morning.

I have heard a ton about a lot of exceptional soaps. What soaps would you recommend that meet the above criteria, and provide a moist, rich, comfortable shave? I don't want anything that will be too harsh on my skin... basically, tabac, but by another name with a different scent. Any recommendations? Or should I just rest happy knowing I have already discovered the best?

If you like Tabac you'd most likely enjoy Arko SS and Speick SS. MWF is probably the most moisturizing soap around and it has a light powdery pleasant scent to it.

Personally, I never look for a soap to be "moisurizing". That's what lotions and balms are for. What I want from soaps is a slick, coushioning lather.

If you can get the lather right, MWF will work for you. My personal favorite is a Speick shave stick milled into a container.

The group discount for Provance Sante has made up my mind for me. Thanks for all your help!

Tabac is a non-visible third in my book. MFW is a very far distant 2nd. And Prairie Creations tallow with aloe vera and wheat protein beats all challengers.

That's my story (opinion) and I'm sticking to it!

What does wheat protein (gluten?) bring to the party, Mitch?
