Newbie bit buy RAD!

Well, it's official. I am now the proud owner of my birth razor, a 1975 Gillette Tech. Got it off the bay for 17$ including shipping and I should be receiving it in a few days or so. I'm actually pretty excited. SWMBO is starting to wonder if this wet shaving is truly going to save me money.

Congratulations; I found my birth quarter / year Flair Tip on the bay as well. The Tech is a great razor to begin your journey.

Ah, kids! Like Cornishman above, I have a birth year '55 red tip, and it's a prized possession and a great shaver too.

Thank you everyone. Since I joined I've been poking around the Bay looking at what was there and then I heard about birth razors and date codes. Next thing I know... there it is. I was suprised to find one so soon, since it seamed to take others so long and most of the razors I've seen are much older than '75. Hope to enjoy this as much as my DE89L.

Guess it's time to order another sample pack.
