Nelson McCoy Potter Old Spice Mugs

My wife spotted these Old Spice mugs at an estate sale fairly close to where we live last weekend. I went to check them out and ended up buying all four for $1 each. Based on the information linked here, which is about all I could find, they appear to have been made by Nelson McCoy Pottery around 1970. It doesn't show well in the photo, but USA is imprinted on the underside of the bottom. They have the look and feel of pottery, not glass.

Does anyone know any more about them?

I know that there is a shop in my area that thinks those are worth $50 each. They have about eight of them and they aren't moving. Four for a buck seems a good score. I think they are some sort of promotional deal.

Given that I can't find hardly anything about them, I'd guess one in near mind condition might be worth $50 to someone. None of these is in that condition. I plan to hand onto them, though.

Great score! I would have paid $10 each no problem! I'm not certain but they may be the coffee mug style that they were producing in the 70's. The shaving mugs were shorter. OS did a lot of special edition, gift items and maybe that is what you have. They are awesome!
