Need a new DE Saftey, any suggestions?

Hi all!

I'm new to this forum, but not totally new to DE shaving. My previous DE shaving has been using a cheap DE safety I got from a dollar+ store and Wilkinson Sword blades.

However, for shaving up top I typically just dry shave using a rotary shaver (I've been using that for a few years now and and have found it convenient). The DE I've been using to shave the nether regions (underarms and, well, there).

I've lost my cheap DE safety and am looking for a replacement now. I'm not looking to spend a lot but also want something that will be easy to use and get the job done where I need it.

Take a look at the Merkur 1904. A great razor and really nice shaver.

Closed comb - Agree with a Tech, or the EJ de89.
Open comb - Gillette New short or long comb

If you are looking to not spend much and want a simple forgiving razor, as others have said, the Gillette Tech would be hard to beat.

1. Merkur 34C HD (Famous 2-piece razor, great performance, and can be had new in $45 range)

2. Weber All Stainless Polished Head with Bulldog Handle (Excellent performing all-stainless razor and can be had new for a literal STEAL of $70 on Ed Weber's website).

I was actually out last night near a barber and beauty supply shop and picked up the Merkur 25C. It came with 1 Merkur blade.

At first I was a bit anxious of using it in my sensitive areas because of the open comb, but found that it actually did a spectacular job!

Of your list for a new safety razor I vote for the EJ D89. If you are good for a vintage razor then ant Gillette Tech or Super Speed.

The Edwin Jagger for closed comb for an open comb try a Gillette New short or long comb.

you guys are crazy recommending a OC to shave his man purse.Is the 25c the same head ans the 1904 OC?
