Most Important/Invaluable Product

Hey guys, what is the last product you would get rid of if it came down to it. For me it would be Proraso Pre-Post shave cream. This stuff is magic for my face, I use it to soften hair and lubricate the skin before my shave, and it completely eliminates any razor burn after. The menthol cooling is an added bonus. How about you guys?

There are so many variables!

Items related to prep are vital! I would have to say a proper soap such as Barrister & Mann, Mike's, MWF, Tabac, etc. Water + these items are vital for a good shave.

If I understand your question properly, what item in my kit would I be unwilling to change, whereas with other items/product I could get along with a replacement ?

That would be my Fatboy. Tried a lot. This one turns out to be the best for me. I could live happily with many soaps and creams and post-shave products, many brushes and if I must choose between Feathers blades and the Fatboy, I will reluctantly keep the Fatboy and load it with Gilette 7 o'clocks.

I have become more attached to my software. I think the last things I would want to give up would be my soaps (such as Proraso, Cella, MWF) and aftershves like Floid and Clubman.

This is easy. Water.

Ben

Razor blade - cause what good is cream gonna do if you can't shave - maybe we want to exclude stuff ???

Of course!

That is so you.

Aside from the obvious (water, blade, kittens) I think preshave oil is my most invaluable product. Without the oil I can get an irritation free shave only with a very few select products. With it, even canned goo worked fairly well. My first game-changing shaving experience was the addition of a good preshave oil. I found a few more shaving revelations since, but the oil will always be the first, and the most important to me.

My razor. I love every aspect of wet shaving, but a well-designed and solidly-built DE razor is a thing of beauty.

i think I saw that picture at the checkout aisle at the grocery store with the headline "devil cat EATS innocent woman ALIVE!"

if this is the correct interpretation, I'd have to say the VEG! :Veg:
Everything else can be substituted with similar products. There is nothing like the veg

According to some, the cat produces a similar product.

Note, I didn't say that--just repeating what I heard. :001_rolle

It is more of a service than a product but the B&B website and all the knowledge shared here has been invaluable for me in converting from cartridge to DE razor shaving. The camaraderie is second to none.
