What's new

CeraVe is my new favorite

This sounds like a good alternative for me to try when my Noxzema runs out. I really like the effects of Noxzema as a preshave, but I hate the smell.

Two questions:

1) Can anyone vouch for the cleanser they call "makeup remover" that comes in a jar with a screw top?

2) As far as the other cleansers, it looks like they all come in pump top dispensers. Pump top anything is something I try to avoid, as I find that residual clogs the exit hole and I either get a clump of congealed junk or, worse, I get a blast that shoots who knows where (I've seen the latter fairly often with hand sanitizers). Do the Cerave cleaners in the pump tops tend to clog like this?
I do think all cleanser from CeraVe removes make ups.
I nor my wife(she's been using CeraVe for like 5+ years afaik) never had an issue clogging pump head, because the cleanser seems has a low viscosity than other eg shampoo.

I have never tried it as an after shave balm, but it works wonders on my dry skin, especially legs and arms. I was highly recommended by my mother-in-law's dermatologist.

Thanks! I was not clear with my question. I'm wondering if the product that they market as "make up remover" works as well as their other cleaners as preshave. I'd rather get something in a tub than a pump, all else being equal.

Glad I stumbled on this thread. I'm a head shaver. Started using CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser daily and the CeraVe PM Face Lotion post-shave for the past few days. I use it for both head and face. The Hydrating Facial Clenser works so well before a shave that I have stopped using a pre shave oil. I find it leaves my skin nicely hydrated and noticeably smoother, particularly my face. I've lost quite a bit of weight lately and the skin on my face and my neck is looser and not as firm as before. The CeraVe works amazing for an irrigation free shave. I really like the PM lotion too. It's light and non greasy and makes my skin feel really great. I was using HeadBlade Headgloss Moisturizer but it is greaser and heavier than CeraVe and doesn't dry as well. I like to head shave after showering at night and the Headgloss took forever to absorb and never as clean and smooth feeling as CeraVe PM. I'm using the PM moisturizer for both daytime and evening. Once summer hits I switch the CeraVe daytime lotion which has sunscreen in it.

I've been using their hydrating facial cleanser and the PM lotion every day for a couple of weeks now, pre/post shave and before bed. Also using the regular lotion below the neck. Blown away by the results so far. I would rate this as my favorite B&B discovery, beyond any shave gear.
