Mergress out of stock :(

Hello Everyone,

I am currently trying to get my hands on a Megress XL but it always seems to be out of stock. Anyone have any idea when Lee may get some new stock, could I even write him an email ordering one so that when it is in stock I just get it delivered? Any advice is welcome.

Why don't you order a Progress from a vendor and have it shipped directly to Eric for modification? That's what I did. I ordered an XL from the superiorshave, a B&B vendor, had it shipped directly to Eric, and got it sent back to me.

That sounds rather brilliant, thanks ackvil and Samjax. Just a quick note it is http://thesuperiorshave.com correct? I'm also guessing that the mergress XL is the modified progress 510 long handle? I'll see if I can contact Eric to see what instructions he might have. Thanks again.

The xl is the short handle model with a longer adjustment knob

Aha was unaware however the overall length remains the same (3 9/16") that is according to the website I shall have to investigate. I do happen to prefer the longer handle, I find them easier to handle probably just got used to cartridge handles. Thank you Predict.

Yup, that's what I did. Got frustrated with Lee' waiting list (every other interaction with Lee has been great, BTW). Eric is very easy to work with and I was very satisfied with the results. Got the long knob (as most do, I'm told). Good luck.

I ended up going with the Mergress LH and it suits me just fine...so much so in fact, that I sold my Vision 2000.

Here is an email Lee sent me after I questioned him about the differences between the Mergress XL and Mergress LH.

Mergress XL Length 3 9/16 Weight 3.9 oz
Long Handle Mergress Length 3 9/16 (not a typo!!) Weight 4.3 oz


The XL is the best balanced but the Long Handle gives a larger hand a lot more room.
