Make your own Clubman Glass Bottles

I discovered that after 30-60 seconds under a hair dryer, the Clubman Pinaud labels peel right off and can be easily reapplied: Simply heat the label fully and lift it off starting from a bottom corner.

Here's a Clubensteined glass maple syrup bottle with the Virgin Island Bay Rum label. I made the Pyrex glass-stopper Witch Hazel bottle the same way. Suddenly I'm interested in tracking down some more antique bottles.

Did you put any glue to make it stick to the bottle or just apply it while wet? I want to try this with Lucky Tiger aftershave.

After heating it, the sticker peeled right up and left no adhesive behind, so it was like placing a brand new sticker on the glass bottle. It didn't need any glue, and I pressed it down with a towel to get the air bubbles out. It worked perfect on the front, where I had a flat surface, but you can see how on the rear label it started to bend at the top where it became more convex. I think this would work best on flat faced bottles, and probably on cylindrical shaped bottles with flat sides.

This works great with the Clubman label, so I'd be interested to hear how it works with other brands. It might end up being hit or miss depending on what kind of adhesive a manufacturer uses.

Funny just did a similar thing yesterday with SR and the little hot sauce label has seen better days but it was my first one I did a while back so getting better as I go.
How does that bad boy pour, do you have a stopper fitted? Of course the "VEG" insisted on being in the photo, what could I do :001_unsur

I like it. The widemouth bottle lets you pour more out and faster! If a little Clubman is good, a lot of Clubman is GREAT, right?

That looks great, nice work! I'm actually keeping an eye out for a hot sauce stopper to fit in it to slow it down a bit. I pour a few drops and a little witch hazel into a cup and let it breathe while I shave, so I can pour the excess back in if I use too much.

Yeah, and I can take a big swig of it to get my day started too! :001_tt1:

Glad to hear I am not the only one who likes to transfer aftershaves from plastic to glass! I called Lucky Tiger (after getting no response from emails) and asked for a couple of Lucky Tiger stickers and the lady told me "we do not do that." She most likely
thought I was some kind of nut!

I also like to use half pt liquor bottles(I take off the hooch label) the look of of the colors of AS standing next to each other the nice thing is the bottles are thick glass and as of yet I have not broke one yet. But if I could find some old apothecary/pharmacy
bottles I would prefer those. But that's life.
