I recently bought a used chainsaw in the US. They are incredibly cheap compared to Australia. I had the chainsaw posted to my US shipping forwarding company as the seller didn't post internationally. The shipping forward company is telling me that it is against their policy to ship anything that is potentially flammable. The seller drained all the fuel and oil from the saw and said he ran it until it stopped to clear out the fuel lines as well. I'm guessing that worst case scenario, the saw might need a bit of a wipe down and then put in a box and posted to Australia. Ebay lists posting a used chainsaw internationally as being fine and I've had some friends that have bought use chainsaws from the US and have had no problems with postage so I can't see there being a problem. My shipping forward comapny has told me that I can either pay storage on the chainsaw or they can put it in the bin for me (yeah, like one on their employees would take it home).
So I'm looking to see if anyone would be interested in letting me post the chainsaw to them, perhaps give it a bit of a wipe over if required and packaging it up and posting it to Australia. I'm more than happy to pay ALL costs (postage, petrol, etc) and to pay $100 for your trouble. I'd also like to add a bonus of a nice straight or DE (depending on your preference).
