When you start making soap you get this strange sense for eyeing soap containers. My wife loves the thrift stores and the bigger the better. One day i noticed all the old china and ceramic sugar bowls ect. I started loading up ever since then, they're very similar in size to the ceramic Tabac tub. I added the scuttle so you can see the size i am talking about.Nothing really unique about mine, but I use one of the blanda blanka bowls from IKEA. I've also got a 365+ ceramic bowl from them for the same purpose. But I settled on using the stainless steel one.
Its late so I'm just going to use an old picture of them. (And I just realised that I have almost had them for a year now, based on the date of the picture)
Nice scuttleI’ve preferred the bowl to the scuttle lately, but these are the two I enjoy most.

My fine accouterments lather bowl is all chipped up and the chipped parts are pulling on the hairs of my brush. I don't know what to do.
Nice scuttle
Thanks for the tip. I will try some epoxy.I wonder if some clay would fill in the chips. Or even some quick setting epoxy. People have epoxied coins into bowls without issues. Don’t know if the epoxy would expand any cracks though. Interested to see what fix you come up with though.

+1 on the IKEA Stainless. Great size, smooth lip and a good grip from the brushes finish. If you insist on texture for lather agitation, you can stick on a few silicon cabinet closer bumpers to the inside. I’d be willing to send you a powder that would be close to what you need if you post a pic.

I've got a couple of the Fine's as well and haven't been super happy. While the ridges and brush rest are useful, the bowl itself is too shallow (and perhaps a little to wide). Spillage becomes an issue with vigorous lathering. The bowl, however, is aesthetically pleasing.
