I love this soap's strong scent, especially with the matching balm. The lather was as good too...
Some of my best shaves are from these vintage adjustable razors and today was no exception. Razor paired with the blade+shim was smooth, comfortable, and crisply efficient at the max setting resulting in a bbs finish...

A good shave.

My 2020 (Chinese made) Tech took me by surprise (last used 11 months ago). I'd forgotten how light it was compared to my 1940s Flat Bottom Tech. The loaded 2020 Tech head weighs in at 11.2 grams, versus my top favorite 1940s Flat Bottom Tech at 25.2 grams (loaded head).

Once the weight difference registered (almost instantly), technique tweak came into play and all was well.

Yes, the Feather is done. It still delivered a fine shave, but for the ATG pass I turned to the Gillette Black just to be sure no injuries were additionally incurred. I believe their longevity can be increased so future shaves will include some blade science!

A very fine shave for a leisurely Sunday morning.

Notes to today’s shave:

First run with a nee to me blade which was part of a blade pack by Jack

. Stainless steel blade and from stroke one super smooth. Very comfortable and indeed sharp - so incurred a couple of weepers/nicks on the ATG on the neck.

The pairing with the NEW Improved is marvellous. This remains a very nimble, smooth and easy to use razor - extremely happy with this one!

Used Tabac again today and that did not disappoint either. Super slick. Tipdip lathering worked but my boar is my most thirsty brush so I need to load heavier next time.
