Another fantastic Bison shave.
Awww man. I’m not a fan of that.
That bottom silver plate kills it for me.
I planned on getting a couple of other Bison colors, but if I have to get that silver baseplate, I’m out.
Bummer.
Same. I can't figure why Karve would do this. I was planning to get the tangerine color but it just looks wrong with the silver baseplate.
Maybe the anodizing process is more difficult for the baseplate. Since the Bison is supposed to be the lower cost, higher volume product, I assume it's a cost- and time-saving measure.
Just my own artistic view...

Then you know two people aren’t standing between you and your next Bison. Would’ve been three, but I was out when I saw the handle length wasn’t customizable.

I kinda dig it. I like the look of the tangerine/silver and the blue/silver. I need to buy one before they raise the price like they did on the Overlander.
I agree, that black one looks good.
The rest look like mismatched parts bin razors.
Like @profusion said, it’s likely a cost and/or time saving decision.
Hopefully he’ll add a drop-down option on the website for matching color baseplates in the future.
Or better yet, a Stainless Steel Bison

As much as a love the Overlander, the Bison has become my favorite razor. The head geometry & shave angle is perfection.

I took my Bison for a spin today, after using the Overlander for over a week. Had a wonderful, invigorating shave. But I think I went a little too quick and drew a little blood. If I'm going to draw some blood, it's going to be a couple weepers on the side of my chin (I can do that with any razor). And that's exactly what I did. The Bison is a super gentle razor, but perhaps just a whisker less gentle than the Overlander. Though both of them are magical razors.

My Glacier Bison finally arrived.

Shipped 16 April
Delivered 16 May
This time long time because of Canadian Post and EMS, Overlander was shipped last year by DHL Express on Friday and delivered next Tuesday.
Expect to use it in couple days, still didn't finish 10 days with Yates 921-H and after should come some time with SE again. Will see but looks nice.
