SV are very good soaps fella. Good choice. Might go with SV myself later on when I shave. It’s Father’s Day here in 🇬🇧 so wishing everyone a happy Father’s Day 💪💪💪

This mornings shave was a good one, a nice bbs result with no blood or irritation. A great way to start ones Sunday.

Still in 🙏🏾

Saw a bakelite offered in a mail. One I would like for my collection.
The sudden rush took me by surprise.
Guess what: I didn't break, even though the image of the razor haunted me a few times.
I am at ease now, the craving gone.
Good shave with the Lea cream. First use. I like it. A lot.
Wierd, huge tube. I don't mind: I like wierd.

SOTD #19

Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads of B&B

Brilliant BBS today. Made an allowable substitution today for SOTM with Savonniere du Moulin and it was marvelously luxurious in every way.
@Steve56 SdM’s “Butterscotch” can be loosely translated in French as “Caramel” or “Buttery Caramel”...
  • No Pre-Shave
  • Floris No. 89 SdM Butterscotch (SOTM)
  • SOC Mistura - Taj
  • Mühle R89
  • Polsilver SI (13)
  • Kiehl's Blue Astringent
  • B&M Seville Splash
  • No Post-Shave balm

Have a Great day everyone

Still In, I think? I did receive 2 Tabac pucks from my son, who also wet shaves. I introduced him to it for his birthday last September. The gift was not hinted at, but I think my wife told him that I had been using Tabac lately. I did give him two soaps and two aftershaves, Moonsoaps Havanna and Stirling Executive Man!

I haven't shaved yet today but will post a pic when I do!

I'd say you are good - and a good dad, too! 😀

Happy Father’s Day to all B&B dads! As a gift, my wife surprised me with an order for a new ‘wish list’ razor. Does that mean I’m out?

"2. No personal shaving purchases in the month. Members may purchase shaving related items for others to encourage the hobby/lifestyle (PIF or Gifting). Members are not allowed to request any form of compensation in return, nor are they allowed to sample or test those gift items.

3.a. Gift Cards (including eBay bucks, Amazon gift cards, credit card reward points, etc.) cannot be redeemed for shaving items, even if the cards were purchased and/or received in previous months.
3.b. The "Birthday Rule": Members are not allowed to ask for (or even hint at) shaving gear as gifts for any occasion."

my interpretation of these rules is that you can not buy shaving equipment for yourself or ask for it, but, there is no rule against your wife figuring out by herself what your wish list razors are and buying one for you of her own free will. Therefore you are still in, provided that you did not ask for or hint at wanting that razor as a gift.

in either case, enjoy your new razor 😀

Day 19, 63.3% complete.

Preshave: Hot washcloth
Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
Brush: Yaqi 24mm synthetic cashmere
Razor: GC.84 SB, Al Handle, Astra SP #3
Bowl: Turkish copper
Post-shave: Nivea Balm, Hyaluronic Acid.

Loaded the MWF as heavily as I could, and got a ridiculous amount of lather. Got a comfortable near-BBS.

The MWF has weighed in at 250g for the last 6 or so shaves. The empty china pot (minus lid) weighs 180g, so the soap is "stuck" on 70g.
