In looking at the thread we have for the streamline and jewel owners it occured to me.Does anyone on this board acually own the Gem Jewel?

I knew of one member a few years ago but forget their name. There are only a few threads on them. Funny, I have a Darwin Deluxe and those darn things pop up a handful of times a year. I can only count a few times in 3 years I have seen a Jewel.
Were the Jewels just limited in production? We're they also made in the UK? Just curious why so few turn up.
I had one but sold it--would rather shave with a MMOC or Clog-Pruf. It was a really nice one, too..

For the record, my understanding when I owned my ER was that it was a Jewel and the Gem's were the Streamlines. I have seen a photo to that effect. But I also see in the Cult thread that some Ever-ready's were called Streamlines. So I guess what you want is a GEM regardless of what name it goes by.

That's true most of the time, but then there's this one. I saved this picture a long time ago and don't even remember where I got it, it probably belongs to a member here.
Tom, I almost posted this photo myself because I remembered us talking about jewel vs streamline. This was from a member here...mewtje(??) I think is how u spelled it. No time to verify that. merwtje lived in the Netherlands, so it makes sense that he had one of these razors early on.
