Ivy Club / Vi-John in Washington State?

I am heading to Seattle on Saturday from vancouver BC.

Can any WA B&B'ers tell me if there is anywhere to buy the Vi-john AS in the area?

thanks

Barry

Definitely not from WA, so take the following with however many grains of salt as necessary: my expereince here in NC is that Family Dollar carries the Vi-Jon Spice ("Ivory Club") and their Brut clone. Family Dollar carries the Barbasol line of Vi-Jon manufactured colognes. I haven't yet seen any AS's at the Dollar Tree, but west coast members have. Good luck in your search. At least it's not gonna cost you a bunch of green to stock up! Enjoy.

There's a franchise of stores called "Dollar Store" (straightforward, eh?) in Washington. They're plentiful in my area and I've seen them in Seattle, but it looks like whatever web presence they used to have is gone. You shouldn't have too much trouble finding one, though.

One caveat: They are cash only, so make sure you bring a few quarters. ;)

CVS carries it around here (North Carolina), and I it looks like they're a number of CVS stores in Washington state too. I'd give them a call and see what they have.

Also, when Topgumby comes along, I bet he'll be able to give more details.

CVS is pretty much nationwide and they do have ViJon Spice but charge waaaay to much for it. Almost six dollars for the exact same bottle you get for a buck and a half at Family Dollar and Fred's.

Fred's? what's Fred's - Fred Meyer?

Fred's Dollar Store I don't know if they exist nationwide or just in the Southeastern US. They actually charge a little less for ViJon than Family Dollar.
I am assuming Seattle will be chocked full of CVS stores but it just galls me that CVS charges so much for the AS when other stores sell it at a reasonable rate. Of course I also noticed CVS charges nearly six bucks for rebranded Personna blades! Crookery at the highest!

Doh! Just saw this...

I have found both "Ivy Club" and "Spice for Men" at this place-

1549 NE 145th St, Seattle, WA

I found nothing in the dollar stores I could track down, and no Godrej at Continental Halal, and norazors or brishes at Delux Junk in Freemont.

oh well - I'll keep the address around - I may head south again in a few weeks, and I'll track it down....

I just got back from a trip that took me past the dollar store on 145th. I stopped in and they had "Regatta yacht club Spice Scent After Shave" in stock, about twenty seven ounce bottles on the shelf.

They also had three different colors of "For Men" aftershaves, tan (spice) blue (aqua blue) and green (brisk), as well as some "Macho" aftershave that looked like a Brut clone.

The stuff is all made by Blue Cross Labs, and IIRC Clubman Rob claimed it was the same stuff as Vi-Jon. You can see the product at the Blue Cross Labs site.

I went home with two bottles of the Regatta. To my nose, it's very close to the "For Men spice" AS I'd picked up earlier at a different dollar store. The "Regatta" is almost clear, the other stuff is darker.
