Is os soap on a rope just a larger puck?

Good Afternoon Gentleman:

Here's one for ya!

I have had a new in the box Old Spice Soap-On-A-Rope in my closet for so many years now, I can't even remember when I got it. Anyway, my question is this............

Is the rope soap the same formulation as the OS shave soap pucks? If it is, I think I will mill it into my mug and shave with it. If not, I guess it will suffice to be a new decorative in my shave den. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Boy does that bring back memories. I used to get a couple of those every Xmas from my kids. I wish I had some again. Does your's still have any scent?

I honestly do not know (have never had it out of the box), but if the consensus is that it is the same formulation as the SS, I will find out.

My folks gave that for me every Christmas for a few years. As far as I know it's just for bathing.

Yeah, I'd be very surprised if it was the same stuff as the shave soap. The shave soap soaks up water like a FIEND. You put it on a rope and hung it in the shower and it'd be a pile of dissolving chunks on the floor in a day or two.

No the soap on the rope is just for use in the shower. Do wish P&G would bring it back though along with the shaving soap. I would certainly buy it.
