Is Chromium oxide toxic (especially to kids)?

I Wikipedia'd it, but it doesn't say anything about toxicity. My kids are 6 and 4. And if I strop in the bathroom, the Chromium Oxide will probably shed a bit. Will this Chromium Oxide dust pose a health issue in the enclosed bathroom, especially for young kids who use the bathroom afterwards?

I want to have an answer for my wife if she starts busting my chops about having a hanging belt with green goop on it in the bathroom.

I do not know about if it is toxic or not but from what I see on every product known to man that it prob. causes cancer in cali.
sorry could not help it just poor Kansas humor.

Actually, I answered this the other day. It's relatively non-toxic. I wouldn't worry about it. Of course if its that big of an issue you could always use diamond.

And infromation on it's toxicity or rather the lack thereof is in our wiki.

Thanks for all of the answers, especially ShaveWiki and the materials testing results.

As for California - yup, we're over-regulated, under-paid, earthquake and drought prone... but the women are hot!
