Ink Review: J.Herbin Eclat de Saphir

Hopefully it is legible :blushing:

A nice ink, with a nice pen, very impressed with the TWSBI 580, worked perfectly straight out the box with no adjustments needed.

Hmm, great review even though BrianW will hate it out of principle. Worried about legibility, too many G&T's? :wink2: Great review! How is the Crown Mill paper, from what I've heard it is the holy grail of paper.

Thanks, posted the picture with BrianW in mind!
As for legibility, needless to say that my handwriting can be unreadable most of the time.

The Crown Mill paper is not too bad, provides more feedback than say Clairefontaine but overall not too bad.

Now half as wise
Different bottle than what I have, but this ink is one of my favorites. To me looks almost purple when wet, then dries to a nice blue.

As someone who kicked the Bulldog already, I can say that this may not have been the best route to take. :biggrin1:

The bottle is a TWSBI product.

I think that it is a great ink, one of the few bottles that I have actually used in its entirety.
It has a place amongst my permanent pen/ink rotation, as TWSBIs are generally a daily carry it made sense to fill the 50P inkwell with Eclat de Saphir.
Plus, picked up the 100ml bottle of it, so there is enough to paint an entire room Eclat de Saphir

Just a bit of good natured fun, as we all know how much Brian loves TWSBI :biggrin1::biggrin1:

Viva la TWSBI :biggrin1:

Nice review, Andy. My ink seems to be much darker though, maybe because it was sold in 2007 or maybe because my pen flows more ... or my monitor.
