Razorock Adjust DE Safety Razor Review.

Razorock adjust

Razorock Adjust DE safety razor.

Made in: China 🇨🇳

Made of: (unable to find)

Item description (from website):

Let's call a spade a spade. The RazoRock ADJUST is a butterfly door adjustable razor designed and built to offer high value at a very affordable price-point. To achieve this lowe price-point, we had to look to our friends in Asia that have less expensive cost structures and aggressive manufacturing businesses.
The build and chroming are surprisingly good for a razor of this price but don't be comparing it to a $200 adjustable razor and thinking it's on par.
The RazoRock ADJUST has butterfly doors that are opened and closed using the knob at the bottom of the razor handle; this makes for easy blade changing. There are basically three settings to the razor but you can adjust to any location you like. Using the adjustable knob near the top of the handle, you can easily move it all the way to the left which is the least aggressive or all the way to the right which is the most aggressive. There are no more markings on the razor because it can be adjusted without any restrictions which makes it easy to change the aggression to any position that works best for you. It's really as simple as that!
Handle Length - 105mm Overall Length - 115mm
Weight - 3.45 oz - 98g

Includes a pack of 5 Double Edge Razor Blades

First impressions: easy for me to learn, adjusting is a bit tricky. Does a good job cutting hairs. A bit heavy in weight.

Adjustable settings: 1 to 3

Performance: great for beginners.

Durability: good

Ease of use: easy (adjusting may be a tad bit difficult)

Ease of changing blade: easy

Ease of cleaning: ok

Comb(s) : yes

Final thoughts: great for beginners, simply twist the bottom to the left to open and twist to the right to close. Then again to lock. I find that setting 2 and 3 work best for me. Does trap some hairs. To get the hairs out you open and rinse. Metal absorbs heat well when rinsing in hotish water.

@CaptKirk1988 , Thank you for the review. I also have one of these and enjoy using it. Same style adjustment mechanism as the Gillette Super Adjustables from the 70's and 80's. Adjustment range towards the mild side in between my very mild King C. Gillette and Weishi 9306 Long Handle.

No reason this has to just be a beginners razor. The Super Adjustable mechanism was designed to satisfy the needs of the vast majority of shavers on a long term basis. It's mild adjustment range does make this a good razor for beginners.

@bgall3265 , FYI, another Stirling/Razorock Adjust user!

I prefer setting 2. It really is a great razor tbh. I said it’s good for beginners because of the price and the three settings. To be brutally honest, you’re right, it is good for anyone.

Either way, I love this razor! I hope to get another razor to try in January
Are you looking for another adjustable or interested in a different type of razor? Same for TTO or will you consider a two or three piece?

Note that the only other current production razor with the same style classic Gillette adjustment mechanism is the Rockwell T2, also well regarded here but at a very different price point.

Other current production TTO/adjustable razors have tended to have reportee problems with blade alignment. There are well regarded current production non-TTO razors.

If you are interested in TTO, you can get more fun and higher quality by looking for some complete ones from vintage, and the cost may not even be higher.

The head mechanism of the vintage TTO razor is made of brass stamping, and stamping requires a large number of molds to ensure precision, which also increases the manufacturing cost.

Since modern wet shaving sales cannot support the huge mold costs of complex stamped parts, manufacturers have to reduce some process molds or replace some parts with more fragile zamak materials.
This is a common dilemma with modern TTOs.

Ive done some thinking. Tbh, I really don’t need another razor. this works just fine for me. Maybe 2025 Christmas.
