Indulgence of the Night - June 2010

Bachelor last night, BBQ leftovers and sat in the garden and enjoyed a Habanos Monticristo #1 with a strong cup of black tea. :thumbup1:

Commander Quan

Commander Yellow Pantyhose
When I first read this I got the Monte #1 confused with a Montecristo A. You would have needed more than one cup of tea for the later.

Last day of the school year---kids left yesterday; turned in the final paperwork and my keys today. Celebrated with . . . hooo, buddy. :biggrin1:

Opus X Shark.
Opus X Lost City robusto.

And some Aberlour a'bunadh. :thumbup1:

I did some standard Woodford Reserve last night. It was the first time in a while. I forgot how much I liked it.

Grabbed some Four Roses Bourbon while at Bevmo Friday. Had some the last two nights and I am very impressed. This will likely become my standby Bourbon, as it is definitely at the top of the $20/750ml class. I might have to give Elijah Craig another go (I enjoyed it when I had a bottle several years ago), but I'd say this stuff compares to bourbons in the $25-30 range, and I appreciate the $ savings!

last night i sat on the deck watching the storm enjoying a glass of jim beam and gingerale and a nice bowl of vinilla caverdish ( a bulk mixture bought at a local tobbaconist) quiet an enjoyable smoke slow burning cool low bite and very aeromatic. anyone else smoke pipes?

Stop by the pipe social group and say hello-

Tonight I sat in the garden with a Monticristo # 2 from the little Island, the corkscrew willow swayed gently in the breeze from the east.

Not been in the mood for celebratory postings

However,

Yesterday was my first day in work since January.

I now have a new career path, I was a Telecommunications Manager, now I'm a Residential Care Worker.

My rate of pay is £5.29 per hour LESS than what is was previously, but at least I'm back in employment, even though it's at the bottom of a new ladder

I finished a sixteen hour shift at ten o'clock this morning and now I'm indulging myself.

Not quite "Krug accompanied by the sound of trumpets", but nevertheless an enjoyable evening
